Karen is the Founder, Owner, and President of Complete Business Accounting (CBA). For more than 30 years, since opening its doors in 1992, Karen founded CBA so she could make payments on a new vehicle. Since then, the company has grown from one client to its current size, serving more than 80 monthly clients across the United States.
She is a Public Accountant with more than 30 years’ experience and has been a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor for more than 23 years. Under her consistent leadership and guidance, CBA has grown year over year. Karen combines her financial experience and skills with a Bachelor of Science in Finance which enables her to provide her clients with a holistic view of her clients’ financial health. She leads a dynamic team to meet her clients’ needs and ensures the highest level of customer service.
Karen is member of the Institute of Management Accountants, Inc., the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers, and the National Advisor Network. With a heart and passion for non-profits, she obtained her Certified Non-profit Accounting Professional certification and leads CBA’s non-profit team.
Outside of CBA, Karen is a tea enthusiast who also enjoys wine tasting, traveling, exercise and fitness, and trying new restaurants. Karen enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark, as well as their son and two daughters.
Becky is an accounting professional with more than 15 years’ progressive experience within the private, financial, and governmental arenas.
Her strong background in banking and finance makes her an invaluable asset to CBA as does the range of businesses she works with, from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses. Becky’s diverse experience allows her to customize her skills and to educate a wide variety of clientele.
Combined with her professional background are multiple academic and professional certifications. Becky earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, her QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification (2012), and her Certified Non-Profit Accounting Professional (CNAP) Advanced. Becky is a member of The Woodard Alliance.
When not working on accounting, Becky enjoys a diverse set of hobbies, including golfing, cross-stitching, and watching reality television shows. She also enjoys spending time with her husband of over 20 years, Mark.
Roxanne brings with her more than 30 years’ business experience that covers a broad range of industries, including national and international organizations such as manufacturing, contractors, real estate developers, senior healthcare, and non-profits. As a seasoned Account Executive, she has experience in working with clients with overall picture of their organization, developing programs, and plans for their future to meet their needs.
As a successful business owner in her own right, she understands that day-to-day aspects of running a business and long-term planning, including strategic planning, evaluating risks, and understanding the marketplace. With a degree in business administration, she helps our clients with a wholistic review of their organization. In addition, Roxanne oversees large projects for our clients and manages the resources both internally and externally to achieve the desired goals.
While she enjoys work, she also loves to play. Roxanne loves spending time outside all year long, whether it is skiing, sailing, hiking, biking or roller skating you will find her outside. In addition, she loves to garden and to cook, and she combines these interests by canning foods and sharing these skills with others. Her heart is to help others both inside and out of work.
Alyson, with CBA since September 2015, has a wide range of clients from various industries and she specializes in non-profits. Her skills include payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reports, financials, and various applications. Her education includes an Associates of Science degree in Business Administration from San Diego Miramar College and QuickBooks Online and TSheets certifications. Alyson has earned her Certified Non-Profit Accounting Professional (CNAP) credentials too.
In her downtime, Alyson enjoys visiting local eateries and attending events with her husband and daughter, baking, and watching or reading anything in the science fiction, fantasy, or historical drama genres. She has two cats, named Han Solo and Honey Bee.
Jessica, a CBA team member for more than 10 years, is a versatile accounting and communications professional who is a Senior Accounting Specialist and specializes in on-boarding new CBA clients. She is experienced in numerous bookkeeping and accounting specialties including payroll, job costing, and custom financials. Jessica services a combined portfolio of multiple clients across varying industries, including public relations, hospitality, telecommunications, law, real estate, consulting, and non-profit.
Jessica has a strong academic background in professional communications, having earned her bachelor’s degree with Honors at the University of California, Merced. She has earned multiple certifications since 2012 and is a QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor.
In her spare time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and children, painting and refinishing furniture, and completing DIY home projects.
Ivana is an Accounting Specialist and brings more than 11 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience. Her versatile background includes working with water companies, health professionals, attorneys, sign manufacturers, and contractors. Ivana is well-versed in accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing/billing and job costing payroll to name a few. She loves to learn about her new clients and is dedicated to helping them with their business!
Ivana has been an integral part of setting in new processes and working on new projects. Ivana came to CBA already having earned her QuickBooks Online Certified Pro Advisor Certificate. Ivana is currently working toward further advanced certifications.
Away from work, Ivana enjoys learning, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with animals. In addition, Ivana volunteers her time and skills as the outsourced accountant for a non-profit animal sanctuary.
Jan is a seasoned accountant with more than 30 years’ experience. Jan’s accounting knowledge and experience spans a wide variety of industries and sectors, including manufacturing, transportation, construction and non-profit. She is experienced in multiple accounting specialties, including payroll, custom financials, and working job allocations.
As a successful entrepreneur herself, she understands the challenges small-businesses face, especially the value of having outsourced accounting support. With a degree in business management, she examines businesses in their entirety to better understand their accounting processes and needs. She knows first-hand what it takes to be successful in business and she provides modern, relevant, and useful advice to her clients.
Outside of work, Jan and her husband, Mark, are deeply involved in leading several ministries, sharpening their shooting skills, crafting, and spoiling the grandkids.
Kaylee is an Accounting Specialist who has more than 10 years’ experience in bookkeeping and small business management. She has experience in a variety of sectors, including auto repairs, construction, insurance, technology, and non-profits. Kaylee is well-versed in all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing, automation, and allocation of expenses. She is knowledgeable in creating bookkeeping practices that support custom financial reporting and empower business owners to make informed decisions. Kaylee is dedicated to her clients and enjoys helping them succeed.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Metropolitan State University of Denver and earned her QuickBooks Online Certified Pro Advisor certification.
When not at CBA, Kaylee can be found spending time with her husband and their four daughters. She enjoys exploring Colorado, researching, sewing, teaching her husband Polish, and any movie that keeps her guessing.
Gabrielle, “Gab”, joined CBA as an accounting specialist. She started her career in 2019 working as a hotel accounts payable associate. Throughout the years of experience in Accounts payable, accounts receivable, accounting and compliance audit, she gained the skills to be literate in the full accounting cycle. She enjoys getting to know her customers, assisting vendors on payable reconciliation, and most importantly, providing end-users catered financial reports to make timely business decisions.
A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy in the Philippines and a firm believer of learning as lifelong process, she discovered remote bookkeeping and has successfully earned her QBO online certification in April 2022.
Aside from crunching numbers, Gab loves seeing nature and architecture, enjoys cuddling her dog, cooking for her family, and watching films.
Shannon has worked primarily in the accounting field for the past 15 years, except for the time that she spent in the US Army. After completing my enlistment, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix. She recently completed my QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification and wants to become a Certified Non-Profit Accounting Professional (CNAP). She has worked with several non-profit organizations over the past few years and feels a strong sense of fulfillment in doing so. While non-profits are her passion, she has worked for a variety of small, for-profit businesses. She is well-versed in many facets of the accounting process, including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, and financial statement preparation.
When away from CBA, she enjoys spending her summers on Lake Michigan or lounging by the pool. Her winters are spent snuggled up inside with my family or out in the garage completing some type of project or craft.
Jehan, originally from Colombia, holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. She first came to the United States with an academic scholarship and spent her senior year in the University of Oklahoma as an international exchange student, where she met her husband. With years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry working as a Reservoir Engineer, Jehan brings her analytical and detail-oriented skills to accounting. Away from CBA, Jehan volunteers at her children’s school and she and her family enjoy all the activities the Colorado outdoors provides.
Regina Mennig is an Accounting Specialist with Complete Bookkeeping and Accounting and has been with the company since December, 2020. She enjoys assisting for profit businesses from small to large. She loves to assist owners in getting a grasp on their finances, allowing them time to focus on the important aspects of overseeing their businesses.
Regina has vast experience in the administration and management of a business and providing excellent customer service, as she owned and operated a large horse boarding, breeding and training facility for over 20 years. In addition, she has over 20 years experience working in the legal, construction, real estate, and retail industries as well as with the IRS. She has a background in various specialities including payroll, quarterly and annual taxes, sales tax, accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reports, and financials. This skill set is beneficial to her clients, as Regina has the same experience as they do in managing day to day tasks while ensuring the long-term success of their businesses.
Regina has her Quickbooks Online certification and is working towards obtaining her Desktop and Enterprise certifications. Outside of work, Regina enjoys spending time with her daughter, her horses and dogs. She enjoys travelling, scuba diving, auto racing, and working on her ranch.
Joy Routt is an Accounting Specialist with Complete Business Accounting and has been since April 2021. She has over 20 years of experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting. Joy’s bookkeeping career began in government accounting as part of an internal audit unit. After relocating from NY to Colorado, she decided to join the corporate world to concentrate on small business accounting. Her corporate bookkeeping experience was focused on the Corporate Aviation Industry in the Denver Metro area, along with providing bookkeeping services for contract individuals.
Joy has years of experience in Bookkeeping and Accounting that include payroll, Budgeting, Accounts Payable Billing, Accounts Receivable Invoicing, and General Financial Reporting. Over the years, Joy has taken several night courses in accounting to gain additional knowledge and has continuously grown throughout her bookkeeping career.
She enjoys working closely with her clients by providing direct communication so that her clients know that their needs are being met so that they can concentrate on the long-term success of their business.
Joy has her Quickbooks Online Advanced Certification. In her spare time, Joy enjoys gardening, boating/fishing, cooking, and spending time with her husband of over 20 years.
